Port Alfred is a small town located in the Eastern Cape on the banks and at the mouth of the Kowie River, precisely halfway between Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha)​ and East London, Port Alfred is a popular holiday destination with sandy beaches that extend for miles.  With the Kowie’s flowing waters, Port Alfred has many activities to offer visitors.  A growing commercial and residential town, Port Alfred has a large yachting community within the harbour and a fantastic residential marina.  The river divides the town in two that is linked by a couple of bridges.
